This used to work really good, but after the last upgrade I don’t get transmission to work. I’m no longer able to download it either. AND I can no longer play pod cast files I have downloaded in MP4 format.. and I have many MP4 files on the device that work perfectly. Strange.

I have to check that out more in detail.

i installed Transmission 1.22 (6191)..but it is not working…can anybody tell me that it is right version or not??????

To download Transmission, just download the transmission torrent via your pc using something like Vuze or uTorrent. Then just take the file on to your N900 with ur USB data cable, open the program and it will automatically install the app. The torrent your looking for is called;
”Transmission Torrent client for Nokia N900-khaled777 ”
Just type it into google and you should be able to download it straight away onto your pc.

very easy!

you can do it in 2 different ways:

1.) from “application manager”
but make sure you have activated extras-testing and extras-devel, or otherwise you will not find it. …heres a website on how to do that in app manager:

2.) if you dont like the first method you can download directly from maemos repository website in your N900 webbrowser:
http://repository.maemo.org/extras-devel/pool/fremantle/free/t/transmission/
http://repository.maemo.org/extras-devel/pool/fremantle/free/t/transmission/transmission_1.76-1maemo0_armel.deb (i think this is the one)
