SPB Software has released the first beta of SPB TV for our Nokia N900, with which we can see a lot of live channels in multiple languages from our N900.

Known issues for this moment:
Slow start for some channels On-screen volume control doesn’t work No support for video-on-demand channels Blinking while pressing on-screen controls in full-screen mode Slow channel switcher scrolling while in Picture-in-Picture mode No dialog for add/remove/sort channels
Installation:
Download the file spb-tv_1.0-6_armel.zipUnzip it and save it to N900From the X-terminal type:dpkg -i spb-tv_1.0-6_armel.deb
Restart the N900.
If you find an error or problem in the application you can comment here or send an email to den [at] spb.com
correct the mistake. its dpkg -i spb-tv_1.0-6_armel.deb
Got an error in Terminal – deb could not be found. More details for installation needed…
doesnt find the file in xterminal
how do you unzip it
Unzip it on your pc, then copy the unzipped file to your N900. Then open the file manager on the N900 and tab on the .deb file…
After all that, Terminal wasn’t needed…! Just click the deb file.

For all those who are getting superuser privileges error, u need to download rootsh from app manager first.
Then open x-terminal and type:
‘sudo gainroot’
