SPB Mobile Shell for Nokia 5800

SPB Mobile Shell version 3.5.0 is an application for our Nokia 5800, 5530, Nokia 5230 and X6 with which we can have a user interface like you’ve never imagined.

Undoubtedly, SPB Mobile Shell is the best application that I installed on my Nokia, even I think that Nokia should have a default user interface idem (Nokia buys this application and put it on all S60v5 XD), everyone would be happier :-).

On the main screen we can have up 5 different desks. Any of these screens can be your main screen and set in a very simple as you want .

We have direct access to 11 screens in the 3D Carousel way with special effects. The effect of scrolling on the menu is fantastic. It has its own application manager, very easy to use, where we can close any application that it’s running of a very simple way. His agenda is special. We can write anything and see the weather, reminders of important dates, agenda setting as you want, etc … very full agenda, you’ll not need another ;-). We can add widgets such as pictures, the weather, appointments and tasks … change the wallpaper, change the layout of the home screen … I could talk hours about SPB Mobile Shell, had lots of interesting details, things sure that i have not yet discovered, etc, etc… In summary, an application that is simply brilliant.

SPB Mobile Shell costs 30 euros or 30 dollars. For this price you get a new Nokia again thanks to this application ;-). You can try the application during 15 days free and see for yourself what you can do with it.

I downloaded this for my 5800, it was bollocks, it chewed up all my battery life and kept stalling and crashing my phone. It adds no new functionality apart from some lame weather widget. The interface is overly complicated and not nice to use. When it finally crashed my whole phone so that i needed to reset the clock and date i deleted the stupid thing. Good riddance to bad rubbish. It looks cool, but it just isn’t.

i had this spb shell for my fon. it was nice at first. As if my phone has widget. But I always end up going to the original home screen because the process is simpler. I can add new shortcuts. This thing is nice but not very much useful for me. I removed it from my nokia 5800 fon. now i have more extra memory. :)

I had SPB Shell installed in my 5800 for last 2 months. In the last 4 weeks, it used to hang my phone severely, so much that even if I took out the battery and put it back, my phone OS would not be restored. Finally I discovered a trick, where, I take out battery, put it back, charge it for 2 minutes and then switch on. Then only will my symbian 5800 OS would be restored. I have finally removed it completely from my phone. Other distadvantage I noticed was that the OS would not allow me to connect to the WAN and inform that there were too many connections. This software still has a long way to go. Beware of these issues before installing it. I was stranded when my phone hung on me in a remote location.
