Preenv, the emulator that can run webOS games on the Nokia N900, because both platforms are developed in SDL 1.2, has come to Extras-Devel repository. Preenv has no interface, also is prohibited sharing webOs games payment, so that only serve us to free webOS games.
Steps to install webOS games on the N900 (once installed preenv):
- Extract with Winrar IPK file to a folder (name it as the game), we save it on the N900 in:
/home/user
- Open the Xterm, with root permissions (rootsh), and type:
root preenv cd /home/user/applications/'folder name game' chmod +rwx 'name of the game'
- Finally, to create an icon on the desktop, simply type:
desktopgen appinfo.json

To uninstall it, get filebox and search for the game install folder and delete it.

N900 doesn’t have a multitouch.
You are not able to play webOS games which requires to have multitouch.
Multitouch is only available on capacative screen. N900 have resistive screen and it also depends on OS.
Is there someone who can answer this question: Is it possible to make a multitouch resistive screen?
I think that somebody just need to find a way how to make this happen. It could be a new technology.

You can get them by buying them for a Palm Pre
If you don’t have a Palm Pre device, you could search some torrent sites like piratebay for webos games and download them to your pc (illegal in most countries) before installing them on your N900.
Hey guys im tryin to install preenv to play webOS games on my nokia n900 v20.2010.36-2 RX-51 but im not being able to.I’ve tried almost all the ways.My gprs is also activated but stil i cannot.All the updates n othrs files like “libgles” gets installed but whenevr i type the command “apt-get install preenv” i get this error:

open the Xterminal
type all this:
sudo gainroot
apt-get -f install
apt-get install preenv
if it didn’t work , be sure that u have ((rootsh)) app on ur N900
