Nokia and The Progress Project

Nokia is doing an experiment, along with 5000 people living in the Bay area of California, to share information on traffic, by terminals Nokia equipped with GPS, and in this way to avoid traffic jams at peak hours of the day. The information gathered by users of the draft Mobile Millennium is transmitted instantaneously.

The residents of the Bay of California involved in the draft, sent information on the traffic while traveling in the city, with data on the time that are unemployed or if the movement is being fluent in some areas of the city. All these reports are available to other users to enable them to choose the best route by which to get around.

By the time the project works very well, and the people that lead by the Bay of California have a very valuable information that allows them to choose between the car and enter into a jam than an hour or more time, or simply take the train to travel on that day.

In this video can see perfectly with this works project of Nokia.
