Heh, I already have this on my N900.

I find it fun but it really does need to be able to play 2 notes at once.

    That’s the only down side.

  2. MrL says:

surely we’d need multi touch support to be able to play two notes at once…

  3. mayolo says:

    no multitouch? thats bad

  4. MrL says:

afaik N900 uses a resistive touch screen not a capacitive screen like the iphone. so no, no multitouch.

playing at a medium/fast speed causes the program to go through all the notes in between-if you play note 2 just as you list your finger off the key for note 1, so i think the program being able to play more than one note at once would b a good idea. nice program though!

  6. A fan of Nokias sound chips! says:

You don’t need multitouch. You need a sequencer!!! iPhone synths are not that comfy either. You cannot really play a synth on that small screen, but you can program synth, its sounds and sequencer on the go. That is the strength of synth in a phone. But do keep developing! I want a full feature synth in my pocket, and I hate Apples iProducts sound chips!!! N900 would kick other phones in their nuts with its sound chip!

I don’t yet have n900, at a moment I have a 5800 but I want a new phone because the 5800 doesnt have synth either(which is damn shame since its name is xpressmusic ) and iPhones synths have started to intrigue me and strangely, no other phone has really strong synths than iPhone. But iPhones sound quality sucks so I can wait for quality!!! Please some one! Make a synth for a phone that has good sound chip, and I will buy the phone and your application…or two of them even, if its good enough!!!

And resistive screen is fine; with stylus, the programming would be more comfortable and because its more accurate, you could also draw wave forms your self!

  7. This could be heaven for everyone! says:

Hey!!! I just foud out that N900 has DSP processor along side its main processor. Now hurry and make a real stunning synth for N900. It could be the best synth on all phones!

And hey! That waveform drawing would be awesome feature!

    Please some one!

Whoah! It has DSP? Make a synth for it and I’ll buy the phone…or two!!!
