The Nokia N900 does not yet have official support for Java, but thanks to lcedtea6 and Microemulator applications we can run any Java application on our N900.
Installation:
- Download and install lcedtea6 from the Extras-Testing repository.
- Download Microemulator.
- Unzip microemulator as root in / opt /: unzip microemulator-2.0.4.zip-d / opt / microemulator /
- Execute it, type: java-jar / opt / microemu / microemulator.jar
- Go to options -> Select Device
- Select Resizable device and click OK
Now we can run Java applications on our N900 
.

First, i will like to clearify something. N900 was not design to run java nor symbian app for some reason well known to them.
The software mentioned above is a third party emulator just like normal emulators(for running .jar application) on windows, it will not give u d best of performance like other java fone.
Have been using N900 for the last 2-3years now, i downloaded the same software and it run but slow so i uninstalled it.
If u really want this to work….do d following
.Wen maemo came out, there was alot of errors with it, so update came to retify some so i will advice u check if ur fone is up to date if not update ur fone meamo first
.in the app manager, u will find an app for unzip process, once u insall…u good to go, just click on any folder u want to unzip it will unzip in d same folder.
.now download the microemulator maybe through ur system internet, wen u done plug ur fone to the system and place d file u downloaded into fone drive, make sure its in ur root drive

“Remember wen unziping the this file, u can either do it through ur x-terminal or with the software but its better through the x-terminal as u will be able to direct ur installation to the root file and also in order to follow the commands above”
*Lauch ur x-terminal If the root is already on “$” u good
if not use d command “chdir” to return to $ root. now try the command
/opt/:unzip microemulator-2.0.4.zip-d/opt/microemulator/
.then u can continue with d steps mentioned above. remember ur commands as state above should be without space expect if stated other wise
java-jar/opt/microemu/microemulator.jar

For chika: operamini dont work on n900 but u can download d real opera.its very fast(d latest)

Buluta: ur came is fualty, clean it up. now lauch ur backup app, if u have done any back p in d past, try to restore it, hopefully it should work if not down third party camera app
