    hello,
i prefer to sign the sis applications using my pc, instead of using the mobilephone. anybody can advise where can i get the freewares to sign those unsigned applications using my pc?

  19. Ratish says:

Ive been doing a lotta RnD on how to get applications signed for ma N97. From Symbian V5 version, it wont allow you to install apps which are protected using a certificate… Which means that some sis files are signed with a certificate with a unique IMEI number and will only get installed on that device. So, you need to purchase all s/w from vendors.

So, even if you have a sis file, it will throw an error “unable to install a protected application from an untrusted supplier”
Now, you need to figure out a way to unsign the application and sign it with a certificate issued to you phone’s IMEI number.

    Follow these steps:
    —————————————————————
    1. Goto: http://grou.ps/cer_get/34621 and save this page in your favourites
    2. Punch your IMEI number and check post 12-15 hours to see if its issued a certificate for your device.
    3. You can use Google translate to convert chinese to english.
    4. Now when you have your certificate, download signtools2.2 on the page where you downloaded the stuff.
    5. Now, open the exe file “signtools2.2.exe” on your PC. got to the last tab and click on English. Restart the exe and now you can view instaructions in english.
    6. Unsign the sis file you got and sign it with the certificate issued to you….
    7. Install on your device and enjoy…

    Works like a charm….

    what is an IMEI?
    Help!

  21. Niek says:

You can see your IMEI by pressing *#06# into your nokia: the serialnumber will appear (this is your IMEI). Also, you can find the IMEI on the box of your phone, if you’ve still got it. my certificate is ‘applying’ right now, hopefully it will not take to long! thx guys for uploading this tutorial! I was looking for half a year now how to create a certificate to sign my applications! (excuse me for broken english ;-) )

    hey can anyone help plz..
I don’t know what is actually wrong but whenever I click on apply certificate it tells me to login even when I am already logged in..
Anyway that’s not the problem.. when I try to login it tells me something in Chinese, but when I translated it.. it meant that my user name or password was incorrect
I am very sure that I entered everything correctly but I don’t know what is wrong.

What makes me sure that it’s correct is when I login from the home page of the website.. it logs me in.. (it only doesn’t log me in when I want to apply the certificate)
