Catorise for Nokia N900

With the Catorise v0.8.2 application for our Nokia N900 we can organize the accesses to the applications in different thematic folders.

As packages are installed and removed, the menu is kept up-to-date. We return to the default configuration of our N900 uninstalling Catorise.

    Just a side note about this app. It categorizes the stuff downloaded from Ovi store as Ovi. To change that or to change any other app category manually, here’s what you do…

    Open Xterm and do the following
    1) Become root.
    sudo gainroot
    2) Change assignments as you please.
    vi /opt/catorise/menu
    3) Rebuild the menu.
    /opt/catorise/catorise

    You should be good to go. Enjoy!!!

    I used to use it prior to pr1.2
    does it still work well with the update?

    @ Luke: It sure does…You can even rearrange the catorise icons in 1.2.
